We have been alerted by our colleagues at bookapharmacist.com to the MHRA Class 4 Alert on Priadel 400mg (Lithium Carbonate Prolonged Release). Bookapharmacist.com tells us that they have a video of the problematic box which is available only to their members. We have asked bookapharmacist.com to make this video available for general use. We are always concerned about anything that may cause potential dispensing errors especially where the drug involved is Lithium which requires a degree of monitoring. The risk is minimal in this case (as highlighted on bookapharmacist.com) but nevetheless, it is worth bringing to everyone's attention. We trust that Sanofi-Aventis will review thier QA to prevent the re-occurance of this.
